Fabric: Striped Montreaux Drill, 2m. Roll of black lace, white lace.
I made this quite a long time ago (I’m sorry I keep saying that, but this is the last time I promise). It’s vaguely inspired by Cruella de Vil — I have her hair so I thought it would be a fun little thing to do.
I used the pattern from the floral and red blouse although for the collar bit…I have no idea what I did. You can see how it looks kind of odd and I think I just sewed it on and flipped up?? Gosh, I have no idea what I’m doing sometimes. I did add darts to the front, and the lace panel is actually strips of lace sewn together because it was lockdown at the time and I had naught the patience to wait for my online order to trundle its way to me.
The snap closures at the back aren’t the strongest so I am in the process of sewing more hooks and eyes to this. However my disdain at having to sew on closures is making that process a rather arduous one.
